How to manage channels live news

Manage Channel is where you can add Really Simple Syndication (RSS) link to display news from an external site. You only can add news items from another site if they provide RSS feeds.
For example, you can use the RSS link to display information such as news and weather reports.

This tutorial will show you how to manage your channels.

Step 1: Login to your admin dashboard.

Step 2: Go to Plugin Manager > Click on Live News > Manage Channels

You will see the options the manage channels:

  1. Add Channel
  2. Delete Channel
  3. Edit
  4. Get new

1. Add Channel.

Step 1: Click on “Add Channel” button.

Step 2: Enter the fields: Name, Rss Address; choose Category.

Step 4. Click on “Add” button.

2. Delete Channel.

Step 1: Check on the channels that you want to delete.

Step 2: Click on “Delete” button > show the pop-up to confirm your selection.

Step 3: Click on “OK” button on pop-up.

3. Edit.

Step 1. At the channel you want to edit, click on Edit button in the Action column.

Step 2. Edit channel: name. rss address, category or active.

Step 3. Click on Save button.

4. Get news.

Step 1: After adding a channel successfully, it will be listed in the channel list.

Step 2: Click on “Get new” button for the channel that you want to get news, and wait until it finishes loading.

How to manage live news

After get news from Channel live news, you can manage news at Manage News tab.

Follow this tutorial to know how to manage news.

Step 1: Login to your admin dashboard.

Step 2: Go to Plugin Manager -> Click on Live News -> Manage News.

You can see the list of news and manage them.

  1. Delete News
  2. Delete All New
  3. Disabled
  4. Search

1. Delete News

Step 1: Check on the news that you want to delete.

Step 2: Click on “Delete” button > show the pop-up to confirm your selection.

Step 3: Click on “OK” button on pop-up.

2. Delete All News

Step 1: Check on all the news that you want to delete.

Step 2: Click on “Delete All News” button > will show the pop-up to confirm your selection.

Step 3: Click on “OK” on pop-up.

 3. Disable

If you disable a news, it will be not shown to front end.

At the news you want to disable or enable, click on Disable or Enable button in Action column.

4. Search

Step 1. At search tool, enter keyword.

Step 2. Press Enter on keyboard.

Search result will show for you.

How to donate to a campaign?

Fundraising plugin that allows members to accept donations via Paypal and Bank Transfer. Members who are not logged in can also donate. This article will explain how to contribute to the campaign.

Users will see the Donate now button on the Fundraising detail page. Click on this button to raise money for the campaign.

Go to Donation page

[1] Choose a predefined contribution amount.

[2] Users can manually enter the amount.

[3] Check here to make an anonymous donation. If this option is selected, the user’s personal information will be kept private.

[4] Check here if you don’t want to show your donation on Home page.

[5] Leave your message here.

[6] Users need to read and accept the campaign terms and conditions.

[7] Select the payment method (Paypal or Offline Payment)

 

To contribute, follow the steps below:

  1. Select or Enter the donation amount.
  2. Check on the Campaign Terms and Conditions checkbox.
  3. Choose a method to make payment.

=> Return to the site after completing the payment process.

Some notes:

  • Donate as anonymous option: 

If users make an anonymous donation, the user’s personal information will be kept private.

  • Do not show my donation at main feed option: 

Once you’ve donated money to the campaign, your post will be visible in Home feed.

When contributing to the campaign, you can simply check on the option “Don’t show my donation in main feed” on the Donations page to hide your post.

  • Payment status on the Donors page

– After donating via Paypal, the status will be Received

– After donating via Pay Offline, the status will be Pending. Users need to wait for the Campaign Owner to confirm their donation.

How to create a new campaign?

Fundraising plugin allows you and your members to create a campaign to raise money for themselves or others. This article will show you how to create a new campaign.

At the Fundraising page, click on Create New Campaign button.

Go to Create New Campaign page.

Input data to all required field (*):

        [1] Input Campaign Title (*)

        [2] Select Category (*)

        [3] Input Description (*)

        [4] Target amount (*): Enter 0 for unlimited target.

        [5]  Expiration date (*): If the campaign has unlimited time, tick on the “Set this to unlimited time” checkbox.

        [6]  Predefined donation amounts (optional)

        [7] Location (*):  Enter campaign address

        [8] Payment methods (*): Users can choose both options (Paypal and Bank Transfer/ Pay Offline) for the campaign.

        [9] Term and conditions (*): Enter term and conditions for the campaign

        [10] Thumbnail (optional)

        [11] Tags (optional)

=> Click on Save button.

Go to Fundraising details page after creation.

How to feature a poll?
